EIT InnoEnergy supported entrepreneurs featured on Forbes 30 under 30 Europe list

Two entrepreneurs, whose innovations are supported by EIT InnoEnergy, have made it on the Forbes 30 under 30 Europe list. A big congratulations to Benjamin David, from Solaris Offgrid and Kerem Deveci and Sarp Papatya, from Deveci Tech, who all made it to the final list, after competing against thousands of international nominations. In a time of global turbulence, it is inspiring to see our young innovators surging forward and inspiring change.

Benjamin David, from Solaris Offgrid

Solaris Offgrid was founded in 2014, by three people who were motivated at the thought of providing affordable energy access in developing countries. The technology allows the consumer to purchase a 20W system and upgrade it over time up to 200W as their energy needs grow, without replacing the main control unit or replacing the original installation. Solaris is offered with a range of energy efficient appliances, from lighting to clothing irons. The system is paid weekly via mobile money over a period of up to 3 years.

Kerem Deveci and Sarp Papatya, from Deveci Tech

Deveci Tech won the country final of our PowerUp! Competition, which recognises the best energy start-ups in the CEE region. The technology has developed the first vertical smart wind turbine, designed to both harvests the energy from the natural wind, as well as those created by passing vehicles.
