At this year’s European Sustainable Energy Week in Brussels, EIT InnoEnergy is pleased to host the policy session “Made in Central and Eastern Europe: financing cleantech manufacturing” organised in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
As Europe now turns its attention towards implementation of its decarbonisation ambitions, the green industrial pillar of the Green Deal is in increasingly sharp focus. Against this backdrop, the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) emerges as a critical region to bolster the EU’s cleantech manufacturing capacities. With its strong industrial base and competent workforce, CEE is set to become one of Europe’s central cleantech manufacturing hubs.
With strong ties to the automotive industry throughout the region, the battery value chain will be a key focus during the event. Join the session to explore how to create the right conditions in the region to attract and de-risk greater investment in cleantech manufacturing projects at scale.
