TIME and Statista have named CorPower Ocean, EasySolar, NexWafe, and Skeleton among the top 250 companies in 2025 for their efforts in reducing environmental impact. The list is based on analysis of companies’ positive impact, innovation, and financial strength, and covers more than 8,000 companies from over 30 countries and six continents.
“We are very proud of our portfolio companies, and TIME’s recognition shows how their innovative products and sound company developments are driving the transition to clean energy,” commented Elena Bou, Co-founder and Innovation Director of InnoEnergy. “These companies are at the forefront of their respective sectors, bringing breakthrough technologies that the world needs to address both increasing energy needs and climate change,” Elena continued.
Wave energy, photovoltaic, and battery storage stand out
CorPower Ocean’s WEC is the world’s first proven and patented wave technology for 24/7 carbon-free electricity. Wave energy is a largely untapped market that is increasing in importance as more countries adopt wave energy targets. Wave energy is estimated to account for a 10% share of global electricity.
By 2032, the global solar PV market is estimated to be close to $262bn. EasySolar offers small companies a SaaS solution for a streamlined approach to designing photovoltaic installations, calculating, and ordering components—all at the best available conditions and costs.
In another area of photovoltaics, NexWafe’s disruptive approach of cloning silicon wafers reduces the production costs by half and the energy consumption of wafers used in solar modules.
Skeleton Technologies’ patented material, curved graphene, enables the highest energy and power density in supercapacitors and high-power batteries. Its application areas range from providing 40% better computing power in data centres to the highest power boardnets on the market and twice the power density in grid energy storage compared to existing solutions.
The InnoEnergy ecosystem a success factor
To succeed in the clean energy transition, innovative and disruptive technologies are needed across industries. InnoEnergy takes a holistic approach to developing and scaling clean tech innovations, where the largest and most trusted clean energy innovation ecosystem is key.
