Geolinks Services raises €6M to industrialize FlowTerra, its dynamic subsurface modeling solution.

Geolinks Services, an InnoEnergy-supported deeptech company since April 2024, has raised €6 million to accelerate the industrialization of FlowTerra™, its dynamic subsurface modeling solution. The funding round brings together Calderion, the French Tech Seed Fund managed on behalf of the French State by Bpifrance as part of France 2030, BRGM Invest, and InnoEnergy.

This investment marks a major milestone in Geolinks’ scale-up journey and reinforces InnoEnergy’s commitment to supporting breakthrough technologies that enable Europe’s industrial decarbonization and resource sovereignty.

The funding will support the commercial launch of FlowTerra™ as early as 2026, targeting high-impact sectors including mining, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and natural hydrogen. It will also enable the company to structure key teams and strengthen its industrial capabilities.

A new approach to the subsurface

Developed by Geolinks and rooted in CNRS research on passive seismic methods, FlowTerra™ enables near real-time subsurface modeling. The technology enhances the sustainability of mining operations, improves the safety of CO₂ storage sites, and significantly increases the likelihood of identifying decarbonized energy resources such as natural hydrogen.

In the long term, FlowTerra™ aims to evolve into a real-time digital twin of the subsurface, capable of visualizing fluid movements within underground systems. This capability opens new opportunities for next-generation geothermal energy and geological hydrogen, while strengthening the safety and sustainability of industrial operations.

Through its support, InnoEnergy contributes not only capital but also strategic guidance, market access, and ecosystem connections to accelerate the industrial deployment of such technologies across Europe.

Accelerating industrial deployment

This Seed round will primarily support:

• The commercial launch of FlowTerra™ in mining monitoring, CO₂ storage, and geological hydrogen exploration
• The strengthening of teams, including new expertise in artificial intelligence, modeling, and geosciences
• The industrial and operational structuring of the company to enable scaling

Geolinks’ technology addresses a wide range of sustainable subsurface management challenges beyond mining and hydrogen, including geothermal energy, water resource management, underground storage integrity, and industrial risk prevention — all critical pillars of Europe’s energy transition.

Supporting Energy Transition

“We are entering a key phase of our development: commercial deployment. FlowTerra™ marks the transition from technological proof to an operational solution capable of providing industry players with continuous and reliable subsurface visibility,”
says Jean-Charles Ferran, Co-founder and President of Geolinks Services.

“This reinvestment renews our confidence in Geolinks and in the team’s ability to transform a breakthrough technology into a leading industrial solution. FlowTerra™ opens major prospects for dynamic subsurface modeling, with strategic applications in mining, CO₂ capture and storage, natural hydrogen, and geothermal energy,”
affirms Karine Vernier, CEO France at InnoEnergy.
