Let the games begin! EIT InnoEnergy Master School is proud to launch the second edition of the Battle of Green Talent: a competition that invites both students with ideas for green innovation as well as those with a nose for investment. With the massive influx of opportunities in the sustainable energy sector thanks to the European Green Deal, this is the perfect time to take advantage of Europe-wide support and funding for the transition to sustainable energy. And a unique event like this is generating the ideas to get it done!
How does it work?
This competition offers students an exciting new way to show off their skills, with a gamified online competition. This battle has two sides: Entrepreneurs (EIT InnoEnergy year 2 students) present their green ideas, gather Talents (EIT InnoEnergy year 1 students) to create the ultimate dream team and compete with other teams for the attention of investors.
At the same time, the Investors (students from participating Business Schools) compete between themselves to gather the most impressive investment portfolio.
Participants also receive feedback on their ideas from Advisors (carefully selected professionals from the sector), to ensure the optimal development of their concept.
Integrated in the Master’s
The Battle of Green Talent gives students a taste of real entrepreneurial life to complement the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Journey,a business track offered in parallel to students from the EIT InnoEnergy Master School.
As a true entrepreneurial ecosystem, EIT InnoEnergy is committed to nurturing the next generation of green talent, to help harvest the brightest ideas that will change the world. Competitions like Battle of Green Talent allow these young innovators to create solutions never seen before and sharpen their skills – so they are ready to take advantage of the countless opportunities that the European Green Deal will provide them in the years to come.
The Grand Finale
And of course, what’s a battle without a prize? After 3 rounds of competing, the final round will be held during Master School CONNECT next April, an event that brings together EIT InnoEnergy students in Stockholm, Sweden.
That’s not all! The winning team will go home with an amazing cash prize of 10.000 EUR and a voucher worth 5.000 EUR to benefit from the Student Start-up Incubation services of EIT InnoEnergy. The most successful investor or investor team will also be rewarded with a great prize. He or she will win 10.000 EUR cash and can attend The Business Booster 2022 with travel and lodging expenses covered by EIT InnoEnergy!
This competition offers participants a unique opportunity to experience what it’s like to build a start-up, attract investors and go headhunting for talent to join their team. At the same time, they’ll be able to set up valuable relationships with professionals.
