- New industrial site in Spain with 10,000-tonnes annual capacity
- Appointment of Thierry Galvez as Director of ROSI Alpes
- Renewal of partnership with Soren
ROSI strengthens its position as a leading European player in high-value solar panel recycling, announcing over €20 million in funding to accelerate its industrial expansion across Europe. This package combines a Series B fundraise and the securing of French and European grants to support the rollout of its industrial projects, including the advancement of its site in Spain, the first fully standardised production line using ROSI’s recycling technology.
To support its growth, ROSI has appointed Thierry Galvez as Production Site Director of ROSI Alpes. He took up his role on April 1, 2026.
Over €20 million in funding and the arrival of new investors
ROSI announces over €20 million in total funding to accelerate its next phase of growth. New international investors as well as existing shareholders participated in the Series B fundraise, with InnoEnergy, CMA CGM, the European Innovation Council (EIC), and Spanish family office G3T. Finadvice, a Zurich-based corporate finance advisory firm specialising in DeepTech, acted as strategic financial advisor and also participated as an investor, alongside Swiss and Polish family offices.
New industrial site in Spain with 10,000-ton annual capacity
Through its INSPIRE-PV project, supported by CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency) under the European Innovation Fund, ROSI is scaling up its high-value photovoltaic module recycling facilities.
Building on the experience gained at ROSI Alpes, the startup’s first industrial site, ROSI is accelerating its expansion with the deployment of a new facility in Teruel, Spain. This new plant will mark a major milestone in the industrialisation of photovoltaic recycling, featuring an integrated and highly automated line designed for large-scale deployment. With a processing capacity of 10,000 tonnes per year, it will aim to supply high-purity recycled raw materials, silver, silicon, copper, aluminium, and glass.
This project supports the development of a scalable circular model for photovoltaic recycling in Europe, reducing dependency on imported critical raw materials and strengthening the European supply chain. In the long term, this momentum will strengthen the European supply chain for the photovoltaic sector.
A new director for the ROSI Alpes site
ROSI’s technical and industrial management team is strengthened by the arrival of Thierry Galvez to lead ROSI Alpes. With 30 years of experience in the photovoltaic industry, primarily at Photowatt, Thierry Galvez further enhances ROSI’s execution capability at a pivotal moment. His work will focus on industrial performance, operational excellence, and establishing the conditions necessary for future expansions.
ROSI Alpes has also been selected by eco-organisation Soren to recycle solar panels collected in France over the coming years.
“This funding marks an important milestone for ROSI,” said Dr. Yun Luo, President and Co-founder of ROSI. “It gives us the means to accelerate our industrial deployment, strengthen our operational execution, and prepare for a new phase of growth in Europe. Our ambition is to build a European-scale industrial platform for circular management and the production of strategic raw materials, transforming end-of-life solar panels into a reliable source of high-purity materials for the European industries of tomorrow.”
” ROSI is one of the most emblematic photovoltaic assets in our portfolio: a differentiated technology, a clear industrial ambition and a demonstrated ability to grow across Europe. InnoEnergy is proud to renew its confidence and commitment alongside ROSI to support this growth trajectory and contribute to building a sustainable and sovereign solar value chain in Europe.” commented Gianmarco Panone, Investment Manager at InnoEnergy.
“ROSI illustrates the kind of industrial circular-economy platform that Europe needs: a differentiated technology, a clear path to industrial scale, a strong contribution to strategic resource resilience, and a tangible potential to reduce the CO2 footprint of the photovoltaic value chain. At CMA CGM, we are pleased to continue supporting ROSI in this new phase of development and to see the company strengthen its industrial footprint across Europe.” commented Romain Girard, investment manager from CMA CGM.
Rafael Tous Godia, CEO of G3T in Barcelona, commented: “As a family and as an infrastructure and a renewable investor, we are delighted to support Dr. Yun Luo and the whole ROSI team in their strategic intent and operational roadmap to establish a one-of-a-kind circular and highly performing recycling platform across Europe and, in particular, in the Spanish photovoltaic value chain. We look forward to the riveting milestones ahead and to an active contribution from our side”.
