How do we help you build clean talent?
Frequently Asked Questions
We know that every organisation’s journey toward a net zero workforce comes with questions: practical ones, strategic ones and sometimes big-picture ones. Here, we’ve gathered the answers to the things we get asked most often about our workforce and upskilling solutions and how they actually work in practice.
What we offer and who it’s built for
The Green Talent Accelerator is a structured framework designed to help your organisation equip the existing workforce with the skills required for Europe’s clean energy transition. It supports employers facing rising demand for green competence and needing credible, scalable upskillig aligned with real labour-market needs.
It is particularly relevant for:
-
Organisations with in-house talent that needs to be reskilled for clean energy projects or related initiatives.
-
Organisations funding or running regional green-workforce programmes and looking for training that is credible, scalable and is ready to be deployed.
-
Organisations preparing bids for green-infrastructure projects, where engineers, project managers and consultants must demonstrate competence that meets funder expectations or ESG criteria.
In essence, GTA is designed for your organisation is you already have teams in place but need to reskill or upskill your people.
Traditional recruitment focuses on filling vacancies by matching candidates to job descriptions. Its value is primarily in speed and volume, supported by large databases and standardised screening processes.
Talent Pipeline as a Service (TPaaS) takes a different approach. It is a workforce-development model designed to build, strengthen and activate green skills capability across your organisation and its wider ecosystem. Instead of filling individual roles, it helps organisations build and activate a long-term green-skills talent pipeline across their workforce and supply chain.
At its simplest. TPaaS supports organisations that need a continuous, strategic flow of new green talent you will need.
TPaaS is built on Skills Intelligence. While traditional recruitment focuses on sourcing, screening and placing candidates, it rarely provides a view of emerging skill needs or helps organisations understand which roles will matter most in a decarbonising economy.
TPaaS fills that gap. It supports organisations like yours by providing:
-
Skills intelligence that identifies existing capability gaps and anticipates future requirements.
-
Targeted learning pathways that develop those skills in line with real labour-market demand.
-
Deployment models that ensure talent is aligned with ongoing business and workforce transformation.
Upskilling, standards & content quality
Yes. All our upskilling solutions are developed with Subject Matter Experts from higher education, industry and relevant public bodies, ensuring alignment with the latest clean energy practices and sector requirements. Content is reviewed regularly to maintain accuracy, relevance and compliance with current standards as the landscape evolves.
Certification is available across both GTA and TPAaS through purpose-built assessments. In Europe, we currently provide certification via the EDC and ECQA. Where organisations require alignment with additional industry standards, we can develop training content and corresponding assessments to support those requirements.
Where appropriate, we work directly with your organisation to determine the most suitable delivery pathway for the roles in scope. This can take different forms depending on the skills required and the your organisation’s operational context.
In some cases, this may involve lab-based training delivered through a partner university. In others, virtual simulations can be used to replicate workplace scenarios. Face-to-face training can also be designed for on-site delivery at your organisation’s facilities, ensuring alignment with real equipment, processes and safety requirements.
The format is determined jointly, based on what best supports job performance and your preference.
The Green Talent Accelerator combines established, off-the-shelf training for well-defined job roles with the option to tailor upskilling when your organisation requires alignment with their specific processes, technologies or operational context. Given the pace of change in the clean energy sector, customisable content is essential to ensure that training reflects real workplace requirements.
In practice, the balance between standard and customised content is determined directly with your organisation. We adapt the approach to match the roles in scope and the level of specificity your needs.
Yes. Our upskilling solutions can be aligned with your organisation’s existing competency frameworks, and internally developed materials can also be incorporated into the learning process. While we bring established expertise in designing training for clean energy roles, we encourage you to contribute your own insights and resources. This ensures that the final solution reflects both industry standards and your organisation’s specific operational requirements.
Job-readiness & deployment
All learners complete end-of-training assessments designed to confirm that they have reached the level of mastery required to begin work in their role. These assessments validate understanding of core concepts, the ability to perform key tasks and alignment with workplace safety and operational standards.
If your organisation chooses to include external certification, this is integrated into the process; otherwise, our internal validation ensures that graduates meet the competency thresholds agreed for deployment.
The objective is consistent: learners should be prepared to operate safely and effectively from their first day on the job.
Learners who complete the Green Talent Accelerator are expected to be ready to apply their skills from the first day on the job. GTA is designed so that the knowledge and tasks covered in training align closely with real workplace requirements, ensuring that graduates can move directly into operational roles without the need for extended ramp-up or additional preparation.
Measuring impact
Success in both GTA and TPaaS is measured through a combination of training performance, workplace outcomes and customer-defined indicators. While core metrics remain consistent, specific KPIs are agreed jointly with the organisation to ensure relevance to their context and operational needs.
During training, we track performance through:
-
Knowledge checks to confirm understanding of core concepts.
-
Assessments aligned to predefined pass rates, ensuring competence against established standards.
-
Evaluation of in-person tasks, calibrated between our training experts, instructors, and the customer to ensure consistency with real-world requirements.
TPaaS and GTA can also incorporate a range of additional metrics. Common examples of broader organisational KPIs include →
